Kurta for Men – The Beautiful Traditional Outfit for Men

Kurta is a term used to describe a long, loose shirt, the length of which falls below or just above the wearer’s knees. Men traditionally wore it, but it has since evolved into a unisex garment that both men and women can wear. Kurtas can be worn with either churidars or loose-fit always, depending on personal preference. In modern times, young people wear a kurta with a funky pair of jeans.

Kurta for men is a very versatile dress that can be worn on both formal and informal occasions. During the night, most Indian men prefer to wear kurta pajamas. Because of its extreme comfort, it has become a popular choice among other nightwear options. Traditional kurta pajamas are gaining popularity amongst young people, who prefer to wear them to informal social gatherings to maintain their distinct style.

A unique feature is that its sleeves do not narrow (as do most sleeves designed in the western style) and fall straight to the wrist. A kurta does not have cuffed sleeves, and its side seams are left open to allow the wearer to move freely. Traditional kurtas lack a collar and have openings that are usually centered on the chest. On the other hand, modern kurtas have undergone significant changes and now feature stand-up collars such as the Nehru collar.

Mens Kurta Designs
Kurta pajamas are available in various designs, patterns, and colors to cater to the ever-expanding market. Among the methods are:

·  Embroidered kurta Pyjamas
These kurtas are available in a variety of colors with both hand and machine embroidery. Such kurtas have a formal appearance and can thus be worn on traditional formal occasions such as weddings. Embroidery uses various threads such as silk, cotton, polyester, metallic threads such as Zari, etc.

·  Chikan work Kurta
These kurta pajamas are well-known for their exquisite quality. The garment is available in a variety of colors, including white and beige. Chikan men kurtas are traditional embroidery style kurtas that were first produced in Lucknow, India. Chikan work on kurtas is for men and is very popular during the season, including weddings and other grand and special occasions.
The term “Chikan” work refers to “embroidery” done with expensive threads such as satin threads and comes in various colors. The term “bakhia” refers to a type of Chikan work done on a large scale on men’s kurtas. The work in this design is done from the back, where the invention covers the stitches in a particular herringbone style. The thread’s shadow can be seen through the kurta on the right side. Chikan designs are produced with tiny backstitches on the right side over the shadow to elevate the kurta to a higher level. The Chikan work pattern is executed so skillfully and delicately that the cut pieces’ turned-in edges are barely visible from the front of the work.

·  Zari work kurta
It’s also a popular kurta pajama style. Zari work kurtas are typically made with gold thread and embellished with sequins, stones, and other embellishments.

Stitches used in Mens Kurta
Men’s kurta designs are created using a variety of patterns and effects. Every kurta requires a unique set of stitches, and the thickness of the threads used varies from way to design. Some of the stitches used to make Men’s kurtas include chain stitch, backstitch, and hemstitch, resulting in an open work outline, lacework, or shadow-work.
