A jodhpuri suit, also known as a Bandhgala or a jodhpuri outfit, is a traditional men’s clothing item that originated in Jodhpur, India. It’s a formal or classic suit with a highly nice appearance. This attire is thought to be vintage and classic. It was created quite recently when the Maharaja of Jodhpur wanted an outfit. He desired a one-of-a-kind traditional dress that incorporated the styles of all other ethnic clothing items while being trendy and attractive. As a result, the jodhpuri or bandhgala suit was created. His outfit was dubbed the jodhpuri sherwani because of its modern cut and frock-like appearance. Since then, this costume has grown in popularity in both Indian and international markets. This outfit’s dashing and royal appearance cannot be duplicated by any other.

A Jodhpuri suit can be produced as a two-piece or three-piece suit in terms of appearance. It is up to the individual to decide how he wants to wear it and how ornate he wants it to be. A basic jodhpuri suit consists of a shirt or kurta worn underneath a knee-length (length can be adjusted) coat with a bandhgala or a closed collar, giving the appearance of a sherwani. If a kurta is worn, pyjamas are selected, and if a shirt is worn, pants or trousers are selected. Other possibilities for bottoms are churidar, jeans, and so on. A stole can be worn over the coat in a gentlemanly manner to complete the look. By not putting a shirt or kurta inside the coat, this suit can be turned into a two-piece suit. Alternatively, a vest can be worn to complete the outfit.

This attire gives males a great aesthetic appearance. It manages to combine western and traditional clothes while maintaining a royal appearance. Also, the costume must suit the man precisely in order to offer him a trendy appearance; else, the entire look will be for naught. This clothing is suitable for grooms and compliments the sophistication of the bride’s attire. This dress can be customized with embroidery and embellishments to the groom’s specifications.

Jodhpuri suits are available for men to wear during formal dinner parties or wedding receptions, not just for grooms. The embroidery or embellishments might be placed on the bandhgala’s neckline or the suit’s borders. Fabrics such as silk and velvet are available for the winter. Fabrics like as silk, raw silk, crepe, and others are popular choices for the summer season. If necessary, light-weighted jodhpuri suits can be manufactured for special events such as business meetings.
